After the Storm

This picture was taken as a storm was clearing up. The sky was still churning above. The sun was peaking out in one part of the sky as another part was still dark and stormy looking.

Spider Web with Dew

The title says it all. Actually the picture says it all. We see these all around our house in late summer. The dew makes them really stand out early in the morning.

Ivy

This is english ivy growing up a wall at our house. I believe it was early morning, and frosty out. I really like that low, blue light early in the morning.

Snowy Rocks

Took this picture in the back parking lot where i work on a snowy morning. I like the textures and colors in this one.

Birds in a Tree

Just some birds hanging out in a tree. This was taken the same day as the Ma's Rug picture. I like the sharpness of the foreground with the contrast of the blurry background. Strange that everything was fairly green even though it was Thanksgiving.

Here is a shot of a sunset from last fall. I was in the backyard grilling some ribs, and took a couple of shots. I tweaked the colors and contrast to get the effect that you see. I like to use this one as a wallpaper myself.

Energy Saving Lightbulbs

I am always trying to learning the settings on my camera. There are alot of settings to play with to get just the right shot. I wanted to see if I could take a close-up picture of a lit lightbulb. This is looking up into a lamp in our living room. I think that I found just the right setting.

Frosty Evergreen

Another picture from that frosty Christmas Eve morning. Just part of our landscaping, and I thought it looked pretty cool as a close-up shot. I like the pattern that it makes. Looks cool as a wallpaper.

Ma's Rug

Thanksgiving at my wife's grandmother's house. I was sitting in the living room listening to everyone buzz around in the other rooms of the house. It wasn't that dark in the room, so I must have just found the right setting on the camera to get this picture. I feel like this says something, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Frosty Willow

Woke up Christmas Eve 2006 to a frosty morning. I was happy to be up early enough to see this heavy frost, and to take pictures right as the sun was coming up. Lots of shades of blue which is my favorite palette to work with. This tree is a curly willow next to our house.

One of the first pics I was happy with

These spiders like to set up shop around our front porch in the summer time at our house. I took this picture at night when they are more active. I think they like all the bugs that are amazed by the light at the front door. It is actually in the process of wrapping up a very large grasshopper that you can kind of see under the spider.
